I have type one diabetes, and I've had it since I was 10 years old. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, I had to stay in the hospital until I gave my first shot. I was in the hospital for eight days. I didn't want to do a shot.
It's just painful. You have to carry insulin which needs to be refrigerated. It's not convenient.
So instead of taking four shots a day, you only take one a day because who can't take in a breath of air?
To find a cure for diabetes is my ultimate dream, but anything to make it easier is a step up.
