Been doing pretty good [catching] small Northern the occasional 30-incher, 29-incher. |
I got a concussion just trying to make too much of a play, |
I talked to Coach [Ted] Roof before the game and he was like, 'You know Mike, you don't have to be Dan Marino; you've just got to be Mike Schneider, and that's good enough for our team,' |
I thought it would be a lot more frustrating coming in, probably because at the end of last year, I really started to understand the offense more, ... When coach O'Brien came in, and I talked to him for the first time, I knew that it was to be OK. He's the best teacher I have ever been around. |
I'll do whatever they need me to do. If it means running with the football, then I have no problem running with the football. If it means passing, then I'll pass it. |
It's definitely not new, |
It's not that hard it's really not that hard, just try to make them light weight and easy. |
Now I want to take a step forward in this next game by making smarter decisions. |
People thought Joe Paterno was dumb two years ago and now he's smart again. Winning changes a lot of things. These same kids played as freshman and sophomores and now that experience is paying off. Have we turned it around? I don't buy that because high school sports at a place like ours will always run in cycles. But Ed is doing a very, very good job. |
That's $5,000 more than last year. It just shows the commitment to Sacred Heart School by the parishioners and community. |
That's what I'm more disappointed in than anything. Forcing the ball in there on the 4-yard line, you can't do that. You've got to get some kind of points out of that. Even if you kick a field goal ? we only lost by three. |
There was a little hole there, but why try to force it? |
There's nothing formal about anything here. If you want to skip class, you can do that; I encourage it sometimes, on a nice day. |
We ended up getting out more because of the mild winter. |
We have to be flexible. |
