Just one of those weird days where I just didn't have it. I didn't feel very good over the ball, putts, chips, full shots, you name it.

Last year is last year; this is this year. I have to put my balls in position to make birdies. If there's no wind, guys are going to make birdies.

Last year is last year. This is this year. I have to put my ball in position to make birdies. I wish I was more under par, but it's the way it is. I have nine more holes to post a good round and then get ready for the afternoon.

Last year is last year. This is this year. I've got to put the ball in position to make birdies. And you know if there's no wind on this golf course, guys are going to be making birdies.

Last year was last year. I have nine more holes to post a good [third] round. That's all I'm concerned with now.

Last year, I had a long way to go. I had a lot of different things I needed to fix to be ready for Augusta. This year, the list is a lot shorter, and the changes aren't as big. From that standpoint, I've got a head start.

Let's just say I've had better days.

Long does help in the fairway here, more so than most golf courses, because it's 7,400 yards. The guys that are driving the ball well, and on top of that a little bit higher, are certainly going to have an advantage.

Maybe I can play 16 holes and just walk off (the South Course).

Michelle obviously has some talent. When I was 16, I wasn't even thinking about turning pro. I was just hoping to get into college somewhere. She has a talent, and has been good enough to make a giant step like that.

Missing the cut at the Nelson, that can't be good for his ego. His driver is still sort of a work in progress. His iron play, [his swing] went from being too upright to too flat, like he was at Stanford. He can be a chameleon, so to speak. He's really gone to a lot of different levels of excellence. If he drove the ball well, he'd probably win 50 percent of the tournaments he plays.

Mom was the one I was always afraid of. Yeah, you have no idea how competitive my mom is. She would watch me compete living every moment, live I mean die on every shot.

Monty drives the ball straight and, as everyone saw at this year's Open at St Andrews, he's still very competitive. It's just a matter of putting the pieces together at the right time.

More than the length, it's the fact that every ball is backing up. Every ball picked up mud. That's the hardest thing in the world. You can have length, and you can have longer shots to the green, but if you don't have a clean ball, it makes for a very difficult golf shot.
