We couldn't have gotten a better look and we couldn't have had a better guy taking the shot.

We decided late this weekend that it was probably best for Ryan to go home with it being spring break to tend to some personal and family matters.

We got our second wind under us when we started to make those shots.

We have to make it a defensive game every time we turn around, that's the Big East. You've got to take advantage of your possessions.

We lost the game in the paint and with our rebounding. The second-chance points were the difference in the game.

We made excellent adjustments defensively. We did not want them to be able to play at their tempo.

We need to continue to find ways to get Steve open. He can shoot threes with anyone in America.

We still had a chance to win the game in the last few seconds. Their pressure bothered us at times. They don't get nearly the credit for their defensive abilities. They made just a few more plays in the last minute than we did.

We still need to sign guys. We have workable depth, but we need more. The more guys you have that can handle the ball -- pass and shoot and create -- the better for everyone.

We're just trying to make sure we keep having great practices and a lot of energy, get ready for each individual game and if it happens, it happens. We know it doesn't get any easier. To start talking about a bye could turn into a distraction for these guys.

What I told my team after the game was first thing, that I've been a part of some great wins and some great teams. (But) I've never been around a group of guys that sold out for each other like they did in the second half.

When you have a young team, you have to stress the fundamentals. I wouldn't say I'm surprised. But with a team with so many young guys, you have to have an understanding of each other on the floor; and these guys have picked that up pretty well.

When you've got a team like that that's just trying to get to New York, it's a great league. The old adage that we beat up our own, that's what everyone has to take into account.

You can't be too high when you win, you can't be too low when you lose. You've got to move on to the next thing.

You could make a case for anybody in this league keeping you up at night, not wanting to face them.
