He played very well. I'm sure he's tired. He played in Calgary (Wednesday night) and then flew to Phoenix (Thursday morning). He look really good and gave us some speed up the middle. This was a nice start for him, and nice to see him get the winning goal. |
He was an exceptional leader who was unselfish, hardworking and dedicated. He truly loved the game. He was the best player I ever played with. |
He was the best player I ever played with and it was a pleasure to play with him each and every day. |
He was the best player I ever played with. |
He will be missed, ... But I'm happy for him. He'd had enough. |
He works harder than any athlete I've ever been around as far as off-season conditioning goes. He's a maniac . . . I see him playing another three years no question. He could be our ( Julio ) Franco . |
He'll watch not so much our guys, but he's going to watch the other goaltenders that we're going to face from the other countries, have video tapes for the coaches, the weaknesses and strengths of those goalies and their tendencies. |
He's a nice young man. We just feel at this point in time maybe he needs a change, maybe he needs a new venue. |
He's at the rink from 8 in the morning until 9 at night, so that'll keep him busy and occupied. We just try to keep him busy. Like people would know, when you lose a companion of 45 years, it's hard. It's going to be a change for my dad, but he was tremendous support from my sister, my brothers. |
He's been outstanding for us. He's a tremendous professional and again tonight he was outstanding. |
He's been outstanding. He's really playing with authority and he's playing with a great deal of confidence. |
He's having fun, ... The hockey is better than people would think. |
He's meant so much not only to the National Hockey League but to that franchise and the city of Pittsburgh. |
His family are great people, |
His records speak for themselves, ... My dad told me today that I ran an 800-goal scorer out of hockey. |
