Judges need to restrict proverb

Judges need to restrict themselves to the proper resolution of the case before them, ... They need to avoid the temptation to set broad policy.

Policy makers are doing their best to try and convince market participants that there is a benign resolution to all our problems. That may not be the case.

We feel that we're very close to getting resolution and we are waiting for those policy memos from FEMA, in writing, to say yes, in fact, that's the case.

The government's track record in relief and rehabilitation policy is miserable and there is a need for a proper policy and implementation to ensure proper rehabilitation which usually does not take place at the grass root level.

But I think resolution is cheap and for lazy readers. Real life doesn't have that resolution. It's probably never going to be in my nature to deliver a proper ending.

It is exceedingly important, however, to avoid allowing vocal minorities to seize control of policy agendas that could undermine this amazing opportunity for our region. Towering above all of the economic issues is the hope for resolution for human suffering that this research may lead to.

In theory, one might say judge each case on its individual merits, but some doubt whether it would be done in a proper way, ... There isn't going to be an easy solution. I think if you have a policy statement that homosexuals ought not to be studying for the priesthood at least it gives seminaries a way to act.

There are judges at all levels who may face a situation where there is a potential conflict of interest, either a situation where an attorney presenting a case before them has given a large sum of money or where the judge, as a candidate, has made statements implying favor or bias for one side of a case over the other. Many judges will remove themselves from a case if a conflict is apparent, but there are no official standards. A conflict that one judge might step aside for, another judge might not see as a problem. Rather than a standard set of guidelines for everyone to use it really is, forgive the pun, a judgment call.

[Both are using legalisms to defend themselves. Gingrich says] I did not intend to mislead the committee. ... In the areas where we had more direct control, our campaign and the legal defense fund, as far as I know, the proper Decisions were made, because the proper scrutiny was applied. The Democratic Party case, they've already admitted they did not apply the proper review.
  Bill Clinton

We avoid that temptation to put in only things we need help with.

I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it

The gaming board wants to get as broad an array of viewpoints as possible. The hearings are as much for the public as they are for the board. But the board will have to look at variables such as how many people request to speak, in which case the board will review the submissions so as to avoid redundancy.

I'm an optimist by nature and I hope that this case will be settled fairly inside Iran by Iranian judges. But should that not prove the case, my duty as a lawyer is to follow this case until my dying day and I will use all means, domestic and international.
