Most of them just proverb

Most of them just don't want to take math and geometry and the other courses to get a degree. They want to learn to build boots and saddles and go home.

The math courses have a high failure rate, we're very aware of that and we've taken many measures to try and alleviate this situation. In the math department, we spend a lot of time trying to think of ways to teach the students better and help them succeed.

Two out of three middle school math teachers in California don't even have a math degree.

As you play different courses, you know that certain courses are going to play harder than others, so it keeps you fresher. Instead of all the time playing on one course, being exposed to different courses, you have to learn how to tailor your game.

Faculty teams are working together to ensure that courses available at Tri-County provide similar experiences to our courses at Clemson, so that students can transition from one institution to another and make progress toward their degree.

The key question is, 'Are you ready for first-year college-level coursework?' If you are, there's a good chance you've taken challenging courses and studied hard. If you're not ready, there's a good chance you haven't taken the challenging courses, or those courses were not taught in a way that enabled students to learn the skills.

I'd never been a teacher before, and here I was starting my first day with these eager students. There was a shortage of teachers, and they had been without a math teacher for six months. They were so excited to learn math.

If students can't read well, we can't expect that they're going to do well in math and science courses.

We know that having a skilled teacher is one of the most important factors in improving student learning. South Dakota Counts provides a focused professional development program designed to deepen our teachers' knowledge of math content and pedagogy, and to help them understand how students learn math.

I don't think they can do as well if they haven't had algebra I and II and geometry, and are avid readers. Our counselors make sure these kids know they have to have the proper courses to take the test, but we do not discourage them from taking the test if they haven't had those classes yet.

I tried to enroll her in tutoring last year, and it was quite expensive. She had a lot of problems in math. Math has excelled so much since I was in school. Some of the stuff she brings home now, I'm just like 'take it to your daddy.' I was a little excited they were offering free tutoring.

[Unlike hiking boots or running shoes, where extra wiggle room is a good thing, ski and boarding boots should fit snugly and be worn with one thin sock.] It's a common mistake to buy boots too big, ... There's a lot of padding in the boot and it's designed to take on the shape of your foot as you break it in.

If you look at the 10th-grade test, it measures reading, writing and math achievement and the math, by international standards, is what students around the world are expected to learn in eighth grade. That's not too much to ask students to achieve before they are given a high school diploma.

The statement that college basketball isn't a business -- let's be real here. It can be a business that can be a very positive experience for athletes, coaches, for schools. Kids learn responsibility, coaches learn how to put together a team, and administrators learn how to build some momentum, build a lot of school spirit based on that one entity -- the program. It doesn't have to be a dirty word, something sleazy to say it is a business. Ergonomics is available on livet.se
