 Basically, I was in shock. I just couldn't believe it. Somebody called me earlier that morning to tell me an appointment my wife had was cancelled because of what happened and I was like, 'What happened?' I [turned on the television to] see the first building on fire, not knowing what happened. I was sitting there in shock.  By the time Ray and I get over to the Cheesecake Factory, we found out Kobe scored 81. We sat there with our jaws open. Now, I'm not a big Kobe fan. But that is one amazing performance, one for the ages, one that should be honored regardless of Kobe's reputation.

 We don't have any idea how this could have happened. We referred him to people, and we even set up some appointments. We thought we were doing a favor for our folks.

 It was a major shock. We are still trying to recover from that shock. We are trying to find out the reasons why it happened. But there is no threat to the multi-cultural ethos. Nothing is going to destroy that.

 First, it was shock, ... Then depression, and then anger. There were newscasters saying, ‘You've got to get out of here, everybody has to go now,' but nobody thought about the people who didn't have cars. And nobody came to help. Nobody brought food ... the system broke apart.

 Denver is a very popular destination, it?s a growing market. We have such a great route structure in the West, with Phoenix, Las Vegas, California and the Northwest. We have Colorado surrounded. Frankly, Colorado is a big hole in our route system.

 It's frustrating we don't show enough intensity to win. We should have shown them that what happened at Colorado never should have happened, but we didn't.

 The goal is to get all children in the system. Most doctors in eastern Colorado are hooked up to the system already.

 [Jordan] absolutely loves it. What kind of sold him on it was he heard or found out that this is where Kobe Bryant started playing basketball. He said, 'Mom I want to go to Italy because I want to be just like Kobe. I want to speak Italian. I want to be able to speak more than one language and I want to be a great basketball player.' So I probably have Kobe to thank for that.
