 This is a good level to buy Treasuries. We're looking for opportunities to extend the duration of our holdings by buying longer-term notes.

 Ten-year Treasuries are very close to the yield level at which we plan to buy. We prefer the 10-year notes to shorter-term Treasuries because inflation is less of a concern compared to rising interest rates.

 The 30-year bond sales will take the pressure off 10-year notes when it comes to pension fund managers seeking longer duration holdings for their funds. We will see 10-year yields rise again.

 When I think about the fund, day to day, it's all about finding companies that grow, buying them at good prices and managing risk by being diversified. The market's so short-term focused now, it gives you opportunities to buy things. ... But you have to take a longer-term view.

 We're bullish on longer-term Treasuries because inflation is under control. We're not expecting any surprises from the Fed beyond what is already priced in. Treasuries at these levels are more likely to rally.

 There's demand for these bonds from somebody who needs duration. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. The economic backdrop would suggest that buying 30-year Treasuries at 4.47 would end up being a painful trade.

 Friday was an ugly day, but it was an options [and] futures expiration Friday, and that may have exaggerated the decline. Additionally, there were still a lot of stocks making new highs for the week as a whole. Longer-term traders can start looking for buying opportunities. I don't think there's any rush to find those opportunities, but it's too early to panic on the overall market trend.

 Any possible move out of Treasuries by the Chinese will lead to a weaker dollar. They're saying they're trying to diversify out of dollars and limit any fresh holdings of dollars. That's going to be bad for the U.S. currency over the long term.

 At this level, global funds may start to move their bond holdings back to neutral, and the earnings yield ratios of the S&P 500 and MSCI World will move closer to the normal level, bonds no longer expensive or equities no longer cheap on a relative basis.

 Shorter-term momentum traders are taking their profits right now, and longer-term investors are sitting on cash waiting for a better buying opportunity. The problem is, to get a better buying opportunity, prices have to drop lower.

 By buying out Softbank... our strategic flexibility to take advantage of international growth opportunities in Korea and Europe will be enhanced, and this new structure should lead to a more efficient, longer-term operating and tax model.

 We are still cautious about Treasuries because global interest rates are rising. I'll wait before buying because yields will keep going up in the short term.

 We see buying opportunities. On a purely yield basis, we prefer Treasuries over European bonds. The spread will continue to widen.
