 We wanted to shut them out. That was the goal we had the entire time we were practicing for the bowl.

 Watching the other bowl games, they've got guys shifting all over the place. Everybody's throwing in new stuff for the bowl game. Hopefully, they'll run what we've been practicing.

 My friend Gina got me to the bowling alley for one of their practices, and I remember watching [former Lemont star] Sam Swanson bowl a couple years ago. Her hook was amazing. I thought that was pretty cool, so I decided to bowl that season. I actually used a house ball the entire year and had a good time.

 Going back two or three years ago, I wasn't really sure what they wanted me to do. Should I run in and bowl fast, or bowl seam up and try to reduce the pace a bit. But myself and Ricky have got it worked out right now. The majority of the time I'm going to be used as a shock bowler.

 I've been riding for a very long time, since I was five. I came here when I was eight or nine. When I came here there were some older girls here, and I saw them practicing with these jackets on. I always wanted one. When I was nine, Mrs. Thomas asked me if I wanted to be alternate for the team.

 I didn't quite feel comfortable with everything. I wanted to stay out there a little longer and take some shots, but I'm still having a little trouble going up and down. My goal now is to start practicing with the team a little more in the next few days, and hopefully that goes well.

 We wanted to consolidate the entire business. Far-flung outlets that could not be serviced properly were shut down. We would grow only when we were certain of our training, product and service.

 The thing that bothers me the most is I just thought we shut it down. Was our goaltending good? No, it wasn't good. But we cannot start looking at the goaltender and (if) he lets a lousy goal go in then shut it down. If we're not getting the saves, we better win the game 6-5 or whatever it has to be. But to shut it down, that's the wrong way to go here. And that's what disturbs me the most.

 In 26 years of coaching here, that was the prettiest goal I've ever seen. The past three days, that's all we've been practicing is crosses. That's what we've been preaching all the time.

 He was just never a kickoff guy in terms of getting out there and practicing all the time. But you'd watch him kick a 55-yard field goal. He could just boom them.

 I think it just keeps me wanting to bowl more and keep going. I'm just practicing more and having fun.
