 Even without Roberts, Mississippi State is a really, really good team. We tried to play a perfect game and slow it down, but they beat us on the boards and made us shoot poorly.

 Getting beat on the boards seemed to be a very significant part of this game. You have to give them a lot of credit for pounding the glass. It seemed like every time we've played them the last couple of years, they've been much better prepared on the boards than we have. We got beat by a team that did the things they need to do within their scheme in order to win the game tonight.

 Our defense made them shoot not as well as they like. We're a little longer than most teams and a lot of it came down to the boards. I thought we dominated the boards and that's no secret we're a bigger team.

 I think we can beat Winnsboro, and if you beat them you can go to Austin. Even short-handed I think we can beat them, but we have to play a perfect game, not a good game.

 You just can't shoot the ball that poorly against a team that's 20-0 and state ranked and expect to be in the ball game.

 We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

 I'm real proud of these kids -- they're a special group of girls.  They're very physical and beat us pretty bad on offensive boards. They've got some good guards who can shoot pretty well. When they miss, they're always crashing the boards.

 You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team. And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special.

 This is a huge game; Boyertown is a good team, ... They beat Owen J. (Roberts), who we lost to, so it was real important to win this game. I think everybody got up for it and that's why we won.
