 I believe right now we have too many hotels in the city that are competing with one another. We need to find a way to fill those rooms.

 Last week I had to take guests to other hotels for the first time in six years. We're struggling to find rooms for visitors to the city.

 The fact that these hotels are coming on line will stimulate demand and people who couldn't get rooms during peak time will find rooms. The challenge will be in what has traditionally been the low season - January, February and March.

 That will be super. That will be a big bundle of rooms. Right now, we have only five of 12 hotels open. It's not only the beach that's short of rooms, it's everyone else in town.

 Houston is not a good shelter city, even if the hotels were not filled. But we have people from New Orleans and the mid-Gulf Coast. They have filled our hotel rooms and may have to leave.

 What I feel now is that I've learned a lesson for the future, and if I want to make a city in Venezuela for 'Love in the Time of Cholera' and can only find half a city, then CGI will fill in for me,

 We are adding 5,000 to 10,000 rooms here in the next three to four years. Somebody has to fill these rooms.

 The whole purpose is to fill hotel rooms and create a synergy for the city that all the entertainment venues can appreciate. Because this crowd is such a mellow crowd, we don't anticipate any issues whatsoever.

 The hotels set aside blocks of rooms for each rate.

 The rent is definitely more. But the square-footage I was in was probably the most expensive in the city. We had some storage rooms that were just old cement block rooms downstairs. I can utilize the room I have better here.
