 We're not even going to watch the tape. Our non-league schedule is over. We're going to get ready for Souderton (an away game 7 p.m. Friday night, Sept. 23).

 [Highlighting the 2005 schedule are games with local rivals University of Maryland-Baltimore County (Sept. 11), Navy (Sept. 13) and Howard (Sept. 25). The Mids will be making their first trip to Emmitsburg since the 2002 season. The Mount opens the conference schedule at St. Francis (Pa.) in Loretto, Pa., on Sept. 30.] The non-conference is always a mixed bag, ... Our non-conference contests are good, but we need to be prepared for St. Francis (Pa.) at the end of September. Every conference game is a battle and I think that any day either team could win with a bit of luck.

 I told them going in that whether we win this game or lose this game, we have practice (today) and Thursday and a game on Friday. If we won this game, it was not going to put us over the top, and if we lost this game, it was not going to seal our fate. In our league, if you let one loss go into another, then you're in trouble. Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

 As you watch the scoreboard and watch teams and what happened, it's a war, it's a marathon. The only thing you can do is get ready for next Friday and come to play. Once that game is over, move to Saturday and so on. Anything can happen.

 I love them all. But the wackiest night will be Friday (Sept. 9) versus Truman State for Sweater Vest and 'Cut-off Jeans Night'.

 When it comes time to play (in the postseason), we have to be ready. We can't wait until the last game to get ready. With this schedule we'll have to be sharp every night or some of these teams are going to take it to us.

 This was just a great game to watch. This is what Friday night football is all about.

 [The Jets' game Friday against the Vikings will pit one former Australian Rules Football League player against another. The Vikings have punter Darren Bennett, whose leap from the Australian Football League to the N.F.L. in 1994 paved the way for the Jets' rookie punter, Ben Graham.] It's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Friday night, ...  The fact that we've played such a tough schedule means that the game won't speed up on Friday night for us. We've played a good schedule so far, faced lots of good pitching and lots of good teams.

 We have this tournament to play good competition and to be challenged each game so we are ready when our league schedule gets going.

 He always gets us ready to play. He's great in these big games. I'm sure he'll have something for us Thursday night and Friday night. He'll have us ready to go.

 [This week Browning is working to be ready for its meeting with Havre, on the road this Friday, Sept. 23, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.] We're focusing on Havre this week, ... We have a good game plan, and we should be very competitive.

 Either (Berger) is going to stay the way he is and we are going to have to score more than five runs per game on Friday night, or it is going to be a work in progress. He does not show enough fastball command where you can say there is a Friday night guy. Our guy has the ability.

 The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.

 He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. I've said all along that we have to take care of things first. First, we've got to win Thursday. Then we get to Friday night. If they take two teams from our league, then I think the winner of that game will get to go (to the NCAA tournament).
