 An overwhelming majority of voters think this special election is unnecessary and an overwhelming number of voters say they will not vote for Schwarzenegger again. Let's face it, he's unpopular.

 This is event is personal, but more than that it's a great event to be involved in. It's a worthy cause. Those are two good reasons I'm involved.

 The reasons for the special election and the reasons for the specific proposals the governor is endorsing are not something that are energizing the public right now or generating a lot of support.

 President Bush is in California for specific reasons that do not involve Governor Schwarzenegger, and the governor is involved in a special election that has nothing to do with the president, ... Both are having political problems now, so other than cordiality, there's really no reason for them to be together.
