 I was really looking forward to playing with the Chicago guys. Especially Will Walker, he was someone I really wanted to play with.

 That's fundamental, basic football that we can be better at. That's what we've got to get across to our team. To me, the biggest factor is we can play smarter than we're playing. We can play harder. Our guys wanted to play, they were prepared to play, but we have to learn to play at a higher tempo when we're playing.

 I'm sure our guys were disappointed about not being in the playoffs, but I don't think it reflected in our play. They gave an honest effort, but just didn't play as well as we've been playing. But let's give Chicago some credit because they made some big shots.

 We ran the same play (end of regulation), but this time they covered the A gap, so Koop attacked the B gap with the dribble. Now their back forward has to choose. Is he going to take Koop or is he going to take Walker? He choose Koop and kicked it to Walker.

 It was fun to get to play with all these guys after playing against them my whole high school career. We just wanted to come out and play hard. Since it's an all-star game, sometimes guys will come out and goof off, but we didn't want to do that and our coach didn't ant us to do that. We wanted to play hard. That's what our teams have been doing all season.

 I am proud of our guys and am starting to see some positive things. Our guys are still playing hard, despite our record. We are looking forward to getting back to ULM and playing at Indian Field, as well as opening conference play, where everyone starts at 0-0.

 Sure they were disappointed, but I don't think it was reflected in our play. I thought the guys came out and gave us an honest effort. I don't think we played as well as we'd been playing but let's give Chicago some credit for that.

 It's not just be on the Walker Cup team and have that star after your name. A lot of these guys want to win the Walker Cup and bring it back to American soil.

 Chicago has a long history of having great sporting events, and we look forward to being the host city for the 2006 Gay Games, ...  We struggle offensively. Defense is what keeps us around. Senior forward Evan Walker brings it every night defensively, he works his butt off. All our guys do.

 Once we make our substitutions, I'm going to let those guys play. They've certainly earned the right to play. They're looking forward to playing, and unless we get in this injury-type situation where we get short numbers, then that's the way it's going to be.

 We start off the season playing man-to-man. That?s our main defense. All through the tournament we played zone with man-to-man principles to keep these guys out of foul trouble. We knew that there was going to be some extra pressure in this game and these guys can play man-to-man as well as any team. Those last three possessions, these guys wanted it.
