I told Ryan last proverb

I told Ryan last Saturday at the film exchange, the thing I'm always impressed with Central Catholic is they always play hard. They don't back down.

He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. All of our energy, all of our preparation is going into this game. We hope that our kids will get to bed early and get their rest and come out ready to play Saturday afternoon at Parkland against a great Paterson Catholic team, but our first priority has got to be Central Catholic.

We've played hard all year and we'll play hard again on Saturday. Sure, we'll be pulling for Central against South. We want to stay home and also, to be a competitor, you always want to be No. 1. If you don't, you should get out.

One thing about me, I don't take many plays off. Go back and watch film after film after film. I'm 24. I'll play every snap if I have to. I'm an energetic person and I have to be involved.

We can compete, but I have no idea. I guess we'll probably find out on Saturday against Greensburg Central Catholic.

In order to get there, we will have to play as hard as each of us ever has played. If we do that, hopefully, we will have no problem pulling out a win. We're hoping to start a tradition for Central Catholic girls basketball.

I told our girls that we want to hit the boards and immediately go inside. I think we had eight or nine rebounds right away early. Come out with a little more aggression. That's what we got to do. We want to be the aggressor. We can't sit back and wait. That's what we've got to do Saturday too, come out and go after it and play hard from the beginning.

It's not that big of a deal for us. We always played Woodland Hills anyway. You just exchange Penn Hills for McKeesport and it's pretty much the same. I'm just happy they didn't overload it with Central Catholic.

We play New Orleans, it's always a battle. I told our guys we can't look at the records in conference play...New Orleans has had a tough situation all year long and I am impressed with how hard they play.

We are very impressed with Patricia and Ryan. Those two are everything that we thought they would be. They are training hard and running well.

Obviously, it's for the musicians, to get the bands back together and play some music, because a lot of these guys don't play anymore. But, our main thing, one of the constant things, is that we give band instruments to the high school and middle schools (of north central Wisconsin). That's the really big thing that we do.

Of course, in today's society, tax money is great; it's revenue that benefits Redford Township. I think it's early to say housing or park. Redford Township now is dealing with the Catholic Central site, and there are approximately 400 new units. ... South Redford needs to weigh their options about what they need to do. The Catholic Central subdivision is only one mile from the Gibson School. They need to see how they're selling, if there's a glut in the market.

The thing I always harped about is that he didn't play hard enough. The one thing I told him this summer is that he can be a great power forward because of his skills. But he wasn't giving himself a chance because of not playing hard.

[? Forgive Texas Christian coach Gary Patterson for being addled after his team stunned then-No. 7 Oklahoma 17-10 on Saturday. After the upset, he signed a football,] Congrats, coach ... I had to bring a 7-year-old (back to the locker room) and ask him to exchange (footballs). I told him, 'Hey, I won it.'

We shelved him for about five weeks, which was hard for me to do, but he has come back without any problems with his ankle. To be a Catholic League champion as a senior and then to share it with your little brother is a great thing.
