 We want the best type of informational brochure we can do. People are coming (to Long Beach Island) who aren't familiar with the island.

What that means is, that people are going to these destinations, they're enjoying the amenities, but the state is not benefiting.

 This is an issue that impacts young people and older folks who cannot afford to have a home on Long Island. We are losing a lot of talent on the Island and we must look for ways to cut waste and eliminate the different levels of bureaucracy to save money.

 Long Island is where we invented the modern suburb, and whether Long Island will remake itself for the 21st century, that's the challenge.

 The entire island is up for sale. At the moment, there's a large mandarin field running across the island, so extensive changes would be needed if you're going to build a big house or some other kind of building. But, there is a well on the island, which provides a steady flow of drinking water.

 I've been visiting this island for almost 20 years, so I'm used to the traffic. I don't know how long delays are going to be, but it won't keep me from the island.

 This consolidation gives us the best of both worlds: Island-wide perspective on issues like water quality and shellfish restoration, and enhanced commitment to protecting and preserving the local places where we have long had a presence.
