I know this is proverb

I know this is a major catastrophe, but I work so far in advance. My things are planned, my people are planned, ... I don't know anyone out there who's been more rah-rah for the city of New Orleans in the last couple of weeks.

Most people have planned this weekend in advance, they've planned all spring for it. So the fact that they're going to have to spend a little more is not going to derail their plans.

Ukraine rejected the option, which shows that the Ukrainian authorities had planned a conflict in advance, i.e. planned to tap, or simply steal, gas intended for European consumers.

Perhaps it is this specter that most haunts working men and women: the planned obsolescence of people that is of a piece with the planned obsolescence of the things they make. Or sell.

I think that Jupiter's conclusions are, absent documented evidence of this development, somewhat optimistic, ... They (consumers) do their research on the computer, then they buy in the store, but they're not going to buy more than they had planned to buy. They might buy different things from what they had planned to buy, but there are only so many dollars to go around.

It would be nice to say that I planned all of this, that this was exactly what I'd planned, but it was just one of those things that happened.

We'd been watching the storm over the weekend and our feeling was that if there was a direct hit on New Orleans, we'd go to special coverage. When it took that slight veer, we decided New Yorkers would still want the other things we'd planned for today.

The Humane Society of the United States has planned and trained for this sort of catastrophe for years, ... We issued warnings asking people to evacuate with their pets since we've seen what happens when animals are left behind. The tragedy is that so many people apparently could not leave in time. The human and animal toll is expected to be enormous.

I think just the fact that there were so many individuals who had not adequately prepared in New Orleans, I think they took extra precautions, ... I think they planned better and took the storm more seriously. People both increased supplies and got out sooner.

Things don't work out as planned all the time,

We had not planned to grandstand on the issue. We simply planned to do the responsible thing with taxpayers' money.
