When the ball doesn't proverb

 When the ball doesn't go in the hole you are not going to win the game. We just didn't do a good job of attacking their zone and we settled for shooting from outside.

 We didn't execute very well, and they played their zone well, but we settled for outside shots instead of continuing to try to get the ball inside, and we just didn't do a good job in the third quarter of getting the ball where we needed it.  We didn't handle that very well. They pressured us and made us rush, especially early. That's why our shooting percentage was so low. We were rushing shots. We turned the ball over we didn't play with a lot of composure and we dug ourselves a hole. Defensively they did a nice job on us and took us out of our game.

 Joe shot well and the first half he kept us in the game. He's capable of putting the ball on the floor and attacking as well as shooting from outside. His rebounding has been a big key, too. Joe is defending well and doing a lot of good things for us that we need.

 They had been shooting high all game. I saw it, but I didn't have my stick down on the ice. It went in the five-hole; it was a good shot.

 We were really rushing, I felt like, early in the ball game. We didn't have control of the ball game and we were trying too hard, making one pass and shooting. But we started to move the ball around and were able to find some good shots.

 We didn't shoot it great tonight and a lot of that has to do with the zone. I thought we got the ball inside when we wanted to. I thought we did a good job attacking but don't read too much into it. It was two teams playing hard and we came up a little bit short.

 I'm just really pleased. We did not shoot the ball well tonight at all. Our girls kept on attacking and making good decisions. We had just four turnovers for the game. That compensated for our lack of shooting tonight.

 I was up in the zone a little bit more than I was the other day, but I had better stuff and got away with some stuff (Monday).  We had a great defensive game. We just can't get the ball in the hole. It's tough to win on the road when you're not shooting the ball respectably.
