 Linux wasn't the mover back then that it is now. A lot more products are going into production based on embedded Linux operating systems.

 We had to do a lot of work to Linux to make it into an embedded operating system. Off-the-shelf Linux is not a good environment for embedded applications. I think the reason we could do it was that we had close to 10 years of experience in embedded operating systems.

 There are many research reports that try to compare the number of vulnerabilities between Linux and other operating systems but none take into account the severity of the issues. ...
