 I wasn't begging, just simply telling them if there was a team in this country that epitomized what the NCAA would like to put on the floor with the class and magnitude of this tournament, it's the Air Force Academy. I think they took that to heart. Beyond that, you have to look at the 24-6 record. We did have great wins, despite what the talking heads were telling everyone.

 I keep telling the kids if I could ever do something or wish something for this senior class it's for them to get to go to Murfreesboro. I keep telling them there's nothing like it. You can't imagine what it's like playing at Murphy Center in the state tournament.

 Winning in the ACC Tournament always helps your seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Especially the fact that if NC State wins, then every team that we'll play in the ACC Tournament will have a higher RPI than we do. That can only help us in our cause for the NCAA Tournament.

 Everybody's got to do a little better and pick it up so we can get over the hump. I've been telling people and telling the guys that this team has been playing well, but not well enough to win. I told them if you play well and keep doing what you're doing, you'll break through. They're a better team than their record shows.

 We have a great chance to be an NCAA basketball tournament team if we take care of business night in and night out in our league. Records are deceiving. You can schedule your way into a 10-1 or 11-0 record. I have learned that you're not going to trick the NCAA tournament selection committee.

 After losing to them, it just puts a feeling in my heart to work harder. We really wanted to win this tournament, but they earned it. They had great confidence and determination. They kept telling me this was their tournament, and I'm just a little guy. I'm just going to learn from it and see what I can do.

 I'm open to anyone telling me a justifiable reason as to why this team did not get to the NCAA tournament other than, 'Andy we can't let nine teams from one league get in. It sends the wrong message.

 Well, right now my heart is telling me one thing. My brain is telling me another. My brain is telling me it's nice to come over here and get this first win and set the tone for series. The pressure is on them a little bit now. But we know they're capable of anything at anytime. So, we've got to be at our best for the next two days.

 Anytime a team wins a championship, we as coaches are ecstatic. We've been working for a few years to get here and we kept telling people if certain things happen and we stay healthy, we could win. But you can't keep telling people that ? you have to actually do it eventually. There were to many highlights to name them all here, but I want to especially commend the four champions we had.

 If we play our game, I really believe that we're able to beat most teams in the country. And now instead of just telling the team that, they have been able to see it and do it. We're definitely ready to go out and win another tournament.

 What I've been telling my teammates is let's go out and win. If we just go and lay down and get beat the first round, the (NCAA) Selection Committee is going to say, 'I told you. They can't even win a game in the NIT. What makes you think they deserved to be in the (NCAA) Tournament?' So I just told them let's go out and play hard and win it, just to prove everybody wrong.

 At halftime we got down on ourselves but we kept talking to the kids telling them to keep their heads up and keep plugging.

 It's not like I wasn't doing my thing for [40] games. It's not like they told me I needed to do this or that. There was no warning. Nothing. For me, not starting and not telling me why is like telling me what I was doing wasn't good enough.

 I was surprised. It's not that (Air Force) was not good. They didn't have any top-50 wins to stand upon, and they lost in the first round of their conference tournament, to a team with a losing record.

 Oh, there's no telling where she's been and the adventures that she's had. She's simply not talking.
