If you can consider proverb

If you can consider my career a success, that's where it comes from. It comes from my team. Coming to practice every day, helping me out and I help them.

That was the toughest practice of my career. The emphasis was just playing as hard as you could and really defending. That's what we've done. Sometimes we'll play in practice and neither team scores. There will be shot clock violations. We really defend.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

I have no doubt in my mind that it's time for our team to achieve success. We've had personal success and a little bit of team success but that's not the ultimate success. The only way to get the ultimate success is to become a football team totally. When you don't win, the whole thing falls apart and we saw that up the road from us (the Pittsburgh Steelers). They figured out a way to turn it around and get it righted. We saw a couple of years ago with Baltimore.

They called her Ms. March early on in her career because she knew what she had to do in order to get our team to a national championship. I think that?s her attitude right now. She knows what she needs to do to help our team go out and win the Big East. She?s just been playing that way, diving on tables, diving on loose balls, getting after rebounds. She?s getting back to Will. You can tell, and it?s really helping our team out.

I love the challenge of molding a team to accomplish a goal, and I'm lucky because I've loved coming to work everyday and I've loved every day of my coaching career. The first day of practice of a new season is always my favorite day, and the finality of that final loss of the season is always the worst day. It takes me a few weeks to get over it.

The worst thing is, we're not going to practice tomorrow. I loved coming to practice. I've had teams that have won more games. But this is a team that I'll remember most.

I just can't. I'm not going to be out there probably not doing what I'm supposed to do and not helping the team the way I could help them. They're better off having somebody that's going to probably help them and give them what they need instead of me, out of shape, risking my career and their performance out there.

There's 22 practice days between [today] and our first game [Nov. 12]. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. You would like to lay the foundation, like you would with a house, and the success of your team depends on what you build those 22 practice days. Last year, we were never able to get after it because of those situations. I don't see that as an issue right now, cross your fingers.

I'd say he's well on his way to coming back in September and helping us. It all depends on how he feels. I think he can probably step in there right now and hit. That's how it is for Major Leaguers. He seems to be far ahead of where he was before he had his surgery, but I'm only basing that on batting practice.

He's a player who has made big plays in his career, he's used to winning, ... All those things combined, we're counting on that helping our team overall.

My biggest concern was how the members of our team would respond and react to Ricky coming back. And I think everybody had the idea that if he was committed to coming back and wanted to be a player that would contribute to the success of the team, that they would be all for it.

Staying here and helping this team get back to .500 is a possibility, and it would be a great thing if we were able to do that, ... I want to help them do that, and, in the meantime, hopefully work something out so I could finish my career here.

We're still the same team inside. Our chemistry in unbelievable and we're have a great time together. Our success comes helping each other and staying together.

Whether it be just for the purpose of practice, an extra body pushing Baron and Derek and Monta, I see myself helping this team. I don't have to be on the court to affect the game or affect the team in a positive way.
