I'm all about the proverb

I'm all about the W's. One of the things I'm going to take away from my experience at ASU are the friendships I made, and through the hard times and great times, I stuck with it.

It's a great relief. The guys stayed in the program and stood through my hard times. There is a lot of satisfaction knowing that we made it through the hard times without me as head coach and that everything is OK.

Offensively, there was just zero consistency. Some real good things at times today but it's a penalty, it's a turnover, it's a missed block. The offense moved the ball at times and made some big plays but then turned it over five times.

I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

He kept working and got better every game. He wanted to have a great year, and he just tried very hard to do that and maybe at times too hard. He's just a great open-floor passer, and as his shooting came around, it made him more deadly.

To win on the road, in a league game opener, it's huge, ... We didn't play extremely well at times, but we played very tough and very hard and our kids stuck through it. It was a great win.

Obviously, he's a great talent, but I think we've opened holes for him at times. At the same time, I think he's made us better at times when things looked bleak as far as the holes. It's a group thing. It's us working for him and him working for us. It's worked out well.

Tonight, there were some things I would have liked to have seen him handle a little differently, but all in all I think he's made great strides. There were a couple of formation things and a couple of audible checks. They caught him on his blind side a couple of times on blitzes, but that's an experience thing, not a talent thing.

We've played hard and we dominated at times, but we've made mistakes at critical times. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense.

The kids did a good job today. The times are hard to judge, as there are no starting blocks at Morrison. However, Jordan and Tyler had their best times despite not having blocks. The kids had a chance to forget about times and just race. They did a great job and pulled out some close ones.

I was able to attack at times, draw the defense in and kick it out -- sometimes we made the shots, sometimes we didn't. We try to do the exact same things they try to do, only they do it about five times better right now.

Win or lose, I've been doing this for a long time. We've been through some hard times. We've been though some good times. The last few years have been great.

What you see with Scott is what you get. He's a great guy, and I think the guys are going to really enjoy him. He can be hard at times and he can be easy at times.

I heard so many great things about him before I got here. To be able to experience it firsthand, it's a thousand times better than I could have ever expected.

Since I am a man, my heart is three or four times less sensitive, because I have three or four times as much power of reason and experience of the world -- a thing which you women call hard-heartedness. As a man, I can take refuge in having mistresses. The more of them I have, and the greater the scandal, the more I acquire reputation and brilliance in society.
