 I feel that although there are less teams, competition hasn't gotten any weaker. It is still going to be as hard and as competitive to get the top spot.

 We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.

 This is the best team we've had in the past three years. Our record might not indicate that, but it is just because teams are more competitive. It was our most competitive season yet. There was never a game when there was a complete blow out. The competition was very good this year.

 I invite competition. I enjoy a good competitive encounter. I enjoy the challenge and watching it unfold. I dig deeper and I challenge our people to dig deeper.  The nationals are very competitive. Teams from California, Arizona and Wisconsin are powerhouses and will be at the competition.

 Maybe in the first round, you don't ski too fast because you don't have competition next to you. You're focused more on synchronicity. If you seed well, you ski against a weaker team. In the finals, the competition gets harder and you need to ski faster and still hold it together.
