 We did get a look at a lot of young players, and their experience in these exhibition games will be invaluable as the season goes on,

 There will be a lot of pressure on us to get it right in training camp. We don't have any exhibition games, any 'give-me' games coming out of the blocks. Virginia is a very tough game, especially for an opener. We have young players, but they have talent and we'll work hard to get them ready.  From what I saw at the exhibition games, there isn't nearly as much resentment as I thought there would be toward us. I think that shows you how hockey fans feel. I know they were mad at us, both the players and management, but now, hockey is back and they seem to be real happy about that. It's a fresh start, and hopefully, a new season that will be a good one for us. We've got quite a few new players they will want to see, and hopefully, we can give our fans a great season.

 For us young players, we'll think about this game next year. Even though some of these games (late in the season) were meaningless to the other teams we played, it was good for us to be on the floor, getting experience.

 For our younger players, they experienced firsthand just how fast and furious the pace is on the AHL level, ... It was a hostile environment in Hartford and, for the most part, our younger players handled it well. That experience is invaluable. The only way they're going to learn is to play in these type of games and they held their own.

 They have fresh talent coming in, but they can't seem to hold onto it for more than one season. They have young players, where I think maybe they should be looking for older players who have more experience at the junior level.

 The exhibition games with the Orioles, there will obviously be some guys we want to get out of the games early. So we'll definitely bring four to six [extra] players.

 I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship.
