Everyone has some kind proverb

 Everyone has some kind of work situation that keeps the band in mind. We're praying that we can just get our check and quit that job tomorrow ... with no disrespect to our bosses.

 We're officially on hiatus, maybe even officially over. It's kind of up in the air. No one said, 'We're done as a band.' Everyone's just doing their own thing, and (some members) don't have time for this band anymore. I haven't quit, but I've also decided to stop thinking about Limp. I'm not going to keep trying to breathe life into a dying animal. It just ground to a halt.

 [Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz said part of his band's enthusiasm for the project came from being able to teach a new generation about punk heroes like the band they covered, New York's legendary Gorilla Biscuits.] It's a band that we grew up on and thought was really cool, ... It's definitely influenced Fall Out Boy, so it's definitely cool to be a stepping stone for that band for people to check them out.

 We had so many injuries last year. I was kind of praying that we'd be much more in a good-health situation when we got to the regular season.

 Every time we tour it's like starting over. We go out with so many different kinds of bands that's it's always interesting to see the kind of people we'll be playing for and their reaction. So far, it's always worked. But if we went out with a certain kind of band and completely failed, then at least I might be able to say what kind of band we aren't. But thankfully, it hasn't happened yet.

 Hackaren Pex Tufvesson skapade musikprogrammet Noisetracker. We're praying that God would bless us. The kind of people we work with don't have money.

 Even the big bosses at the rubber companies would check with Jack Knight.

 Geoff's been a good friend of the band for years. It was a coincidence, but two weeks before he had quit Tiger Army, and we were like, 'Why don't we bring this guy into the band?' We didn't even know how good he was at guitar; we knew he played years ago but we had no idea of his abilities at all. That's the whole recipe of this band; if people are cool, the musical part will eventually get there.

 Our live performances make believers in the band. We put on a different kind of show. We're not a bar band. We're a band for people excited to see original music.

 In 'thinking up' music I usually have some kind of a brass band with wings on it in back of my mind.

 [The set's release puts an end to the Band ... for now.] I keep saying, 'Now I'm done with the Band,' ... I'm just not keen to be going back up into the attic and going into the trunks. I'm more interested in tomorrow.

 This does not mean, of course, that people should not plan quit attempts. We think it means that there is something different about the state of mind of someone who says, 'That's it -- I've had enough, and I'm stopping smoking right now,' and someone who says 'I've decided to stop smoking and it will be after I finish the packet tomorrow/next week/or whatever.

 When we first started the band here in LA, Jane’s Addiction was the band we looked up to. They came out at a time when there was a lot of glam rock and hair bands and they got put into that category, but they stood out because they were doing their own thing. We were kind of caught in the same kind of situation at another time: there were a lot of new-metal bands and we’d get put into that category even though we didn’t fit. It’s funny that now there’s bands like Mars Volta doing this prog-rock thing that’s kinda getting popular, people put us in that genre now. That may be closer to the truth, but I think Hypnotized is going to go further in terms of getting people to understand what we’re doing.

 It's been the same song, same verse all year long we don't hit the ball when we need too. We just didn't do it. We had the opportunities with runners in scoring position but we don't get it done. We are going get to work tomorrow. We are going to get after it and we aren't going to quit.

 Homey don't quit. What else are you gonna do? It's like those guys in the cartoon they get up in the morning, check the clock and fight all day and after it's over they check the clock and go home. That's how it goes.
