 Adam is a good ballplayer. He can play ball if he keeps his cool and lets things come to him. We have a tendency to rush too much, and that causes turnovers. But when we let it come to us, we have a good team.

Those two things are the keys for any one of the teams in the tournament. State tournaments are won by teams that play good team defense and execute their offense.

 Alex is a ballplayer. He knows how to play. He makes all the plays, he has good range, he has nice carry on his arm. He never is out of position. He just helps you win games. It may not be flashy, but he knows how to play. If you need a bunt, he can bunt. He can hit and run. He's just a good ballplayer.

 The good thing is that we're knocking them loose. We're making it happen. But you've got to get turnovers. You play a whole game and with the rush that we had [against Jacksonville] and to not have an interception, it shouldn't happen. So there's some things that we still need to be better at. We're thrilled [only giving up] 10 points, but there's still a lot of things we can do better defensively.

 We play a good caliber of ball up here. (Weaver) is a good ballplayer who just needs to work on his technique and get in the classroom. The light bulb came on just a little bit too late, but that's why we're fortunate to get him.

 There are always too many turnovers whenever we play. It just costs us too many offensive possessions. If we ever cut down on turnovers we'll be a pretty good team.  I don't think we forced the ball and tried to make plays that are hard to make. We tried to keep it simple. You look at it, how many turnovers should you have when you play Albany? Seven is a good number. If it were 17, I'd be really disappointed. But those seven could easily be 17 or 20 next week against a better team. You hope it gets better every game where our guys see things.

 They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

 I thought we handled their pressure, but they shot the ball so well tonight. They are so good inside, we tried to play zone, but they made shots. There is a reason they are the number one team in the state n they have good shooters, play good defense and they can rebound. They have all the things a coach would want.

 Turnovers just killed us again. You can't continue to turn the ball over against a good team. Padua is a very good team, and they played very well.

 There's nobody on this team that I pull harder for than Adam Witter. He works hard and good things deserve to come to him. I just felt like he was going to do something good there.

 They play fast. They hustle. They've got a good, quality pass rush. The quarterback gets the ball out quick. They have good size at receiver.
