 All my friends don't recognize me without a limp.

 Some go limp as a defense mechanism. People think if they go limp, than they are content, but really they are playing dead. They are not happy about being held.

 To see, to hear, means nothing. To recognize (or not to recognize) means everything. Between what I do recognize and what I do not recognize there stands myself. And what I do not recognize I shall continue not to recognize.

 It is special, especially to have other people recognize me. And to be able to share it with my friends and family, it is a special feeling.

 Often, perhaps even in the majority of cases, it is the friends and associates of the person sought in a Missed Connection that actually see the posting, recognize who is being sought and bring it to their attention.

 I think it's a nice gesture on the part of Bishop Lori to recognize volunteers in the church. They've always had programs to recognize high profile people and this is a nice way to recognize the people in the trenches.

 One of the great things we do is recognize people. Those things are greatly appreciated by family and friends and colleagues. It's so hard to define every certain instance. We have to use our own good judgment.

 I think we can limp along through this hurricane season.
