You just can't put proverb

You just can't put aside that these companies have been rivals for many years. At some point, you will get a stronger entity than either company is on its own, but execution is key.

After the bubble burst, LSI was hurt as much as anyone else. But there were a handful of companies that were just as broadly positioned, and with great technology and execution, they were able to become stronger.

Participation is a big thing. Just getting new blood and new ideas. Every three years we go through this cycle where we get new things and excitement. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. Then it tends to drop off. We're hoping that by having a new, larger, stronger entity, we'll keep that fire going.

We're building the bigger, stronger, more vibrant company we envisioned when, after more than 50 years in business, we became a public company just one year ago.

It's definitely pricey but people are willing to pay up for a company with well defined growth prospects, ... There are few companies out there that can command a multiple higher than other stocks because of their history of execution.

We were at a crossroads, we were at a point in time where we had to make a decision to go public or to perhaps merge with another entity if it made sense. There were very few organizations out there that we would do this with -- and there's only one that I could think of, and that was Dell, just because of the similarities in terms of the direct business model, and that we have a lot of similarities with the [company]. The problem is that we were at these crossroads, we needed to raise capital, and we had never raised capital at this company from day one.

We've played them a couple times before. We know how they play. They know how we play. We're rivals, if you want to call it that. We're rivals to the point where it should be a good game.

When a customer is actually at the point of completely defaulting, there may have been some signs before that time that the company could've picked up on and dealt with in a more humane fashion than [what] most credit card companies seem to be doing at this point. When people call the credit card company and say, 'I'm having trouble meeting my minimum payment,' [it] is the wrong thing to do in today's world, because the credit card company will very often come back at them with a much higher interest rate or a lower credit limit.

In order to stand out in this field, a competitive company like Zebra must continually prove its ability to be innovative and to deliver the product. Technology needs both invention and execution. Companies like Zebra who excel at both are true leaders in their field.

We're talking to and working with some very significant companies right now. ... We expect (company location) announcements to pick up. ... Some (company relocations) take two to three years to cultivate.

What we are creating is a larger company without the legal proceedings for having one corporate entity... Any income accruing to any of the entities shall be paid to each respective company.

It's a bit of a surprise that 'company reputation' and 'industry' ranked so low - it's counter to what we typically hear. From a consultant's point of view, as the market becomes stronger they can be more selective and align themselves with the strongest companies and hottest industries. This lack of importance in 'reputation' and 'industry' may be a bit of hangover effect from the down turn, when jobs were scarce and workers became less selective. This trend should reverse itself as business continues to strengthen.
