 National government must declare it a national disaster area because massive resources would be required to restore the area.

 We need to be adding to the national forests, not decreasing them.

 If you leave us confused about whether or not this is a crime or not, the impact on society is far greater than if you make the decision of -- it is a crime but proportionally ... it would not be a political death penalty case.

 While plantation forests are an extremely valuable resource and will undoubtedly supply an increasing portion of wood and fiber needs in the future, they should not be considered a substitute for the region's dwindling natural forests. During the past five years, the region lost more than 14.8 million acres of natural forests.

 I would feel horrible to think I had put my name on a pistol permit and allowed someone to carry around a gun and they committed another crime.
