(The sports psychologist) told us to know what our goals are and keep them in focus. It was time to reset our goals because of what happened.

Alex and Vitaly are hard-working kids. They go out and work hard all the time. They show good leadership for everybody else.

Best-case scenario, we're hoping to get six kids through.

Caleb has the talent and could get out with a great tournament. He just has to believe in himself and think he can win the big matches.

Dong is a great kid and Caleb is a great kid, too. We were hoping it would be a good match. Obviously wrestling someone that good that well is going to boost your confidence and make you realize that you're a lot further along than what you thought you were.

Everybody we're sending has a shot of getting out. We just need some luck and good calls.

Felipe is having a good year. He had a little trouble the last couple of weeks, but he's coming back.

For him to get on the podium is really significant. But they all have to realize there are no givens. You still have to keep working. You can't assume just because you do it as a sophomore, you'll also get up there the following year.

Hopefully, our guys are looking forward to it. Our philosophy is to set our goals high and try to (advance to state). This is what starts it all off. This will be a good test for us because we're in a tough sectional.

I think he can win those matches, but if he has a bad day may not make it out. However it shakes out, one of the best 103-pounders will be sitting at home for state.

I think there's a misconception that kids cut too much weight, and hopefully this will put that in check. I don't think it happens as much now as in the olden days.

I think this proved we can be competitive with what we've got.

I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

Individually, some didn't perform as well as we wanted, but we met our team goals. They were just attained by different personnel.
