We're still, you know, making some mistakes — some unforced mistakes that cost you. They could have cost us tonight.

We've been to the finals a lot and we want to play well. It will be a tough game.

We've been way behind against quality teams, but we keep fighting back. This team fights hard. They make some mistakes, but they keep fighting. When you lose four in a row and do what we had to do to win tonight, I'm very proud of them. This is a great lesson for all the guys. They can win without Gerry.

When Connecticut caught us, and they caught us a lot, we kept going. Gerry wouldn't let it get away. He was playing on half a leg today. He's got more guts than anybody I've ever coached.

When Gerry gets going like that, it's disheartening. He can pull up and make it from anywhere inside the half court.

When Gerry got the ball coming down, I set something up. I told him (to) drive and give it to one of three guys at the end of regulation. He looked at me and said, 'Can I shoot it?' I said, 'They're not going to let you shoot it. But if they do, shoot it. As soon as he released it, there was never a doubt that ball was nothing but net.

When they caught us, and they caught us three or four times, we kept going. Usually, when that happens, you let it go away a little bit. But these guys (Syracuse player) wouldn't let it go away.

When you lose three straight games, you lose a little confidence. And we've lost a lot of confidence.

When you lose your best player without any practice time or anything (to prepare), that's a huge mountain to overcome. I think this is a great lesson for the other guys, that they can win without Gerry. That'll help make them stronger, give us a chance to rest Gerry. Other guys know they can step up and make plays.
