I was finally in love with another man who was going to be my partner for life. I mean, he - he was the man of my dreams, I thought, until finally, one day, a Christian woman showed up at my door with a Bible and asked if she could share with me the gospel of Christ, and she confronted me about my homosexuality that day. |
I was fortunate enough to be one of those stories where I was scouted on the street by somebody and actually refused to go to the agency and was approached on different occasions and finally kind of caved and said, 'OK, I'll try it and see what happens.' A month and a half after my first audition I won the role on Lost . |
I was in same situation last April at Clarks Hill. I was winning by 10 pounds on Saturday and had already won a boat. Then, instead of doing what the odds said to do, I went back and tried to catch another big fish and bombed out — and lost the tournament. We tried very hard not to make the same mistake at Lake Murray. |

I went to Austin to visit friends after Texas won the Rose Bowl. I went to their celebration at their stadium, and it was a sight to see. I watched Young to see how he would handle himself in that situation. I couldn't believe how charismatic he was. I watched him with the fans and with his teammates. I was so impressed. |
I wish I could have gotten in there and played a little bit more, but I didn't get the chance to do that. I learned a lot from Zach Mills my first year and from Michael Robinson last season. I'm ready. I'm excited to take over. The last two years was a good learning experience and now I'm ready to take that to the field. |

I wouldn't want to handle the ball against her. She's just amazing ... She really creates a presence for us. It's funny how people react to that, with coming up and trying to screen her and kids wanting to get rid of the ball, having other people bringing the ball up the floor. It's really given us a different dimension. |
I'd like to thank all the members of Local 100 for their unerring supporting and perseverance in the course of these very difficult past few weeks. We'd also like to thank the riders and working people of New York for their patience, forbearance and understanding, for the equally difficult time spent by this entire city. |
I'm 28 years old. I'm going to go here and I could lose every game and get fired in four years. But I'll be 32 and I'll still have a lot in front of me and I'll be a smarter person for it. That's kind of how I looked at it. Worst-case scenario, what could happen is I could fail, but I still felt like I'd come out on top. |
I'm extremely happy. I'm very proud of my teammates. Our win was really a team effort. It just feels good for me because there's no pressure for me to go out and score 20 points or anything like that. We have a really well-rounded team, and they helped me get where I want to be, which is in the championship game Tuesday. |
I'm not surprised that they would attempt to create a false veneer of legitimacy by promoting their cause through the mouths of Jews and Israelis. It doesn't matter who is speaking; what matters is the content of the message, and that message of an analogy between South African apartheid and Zionism is false and extreme. |
I'm not thinking about the possibility that I might have to stop the car and then sleep through the night in the middle of the desert. If I have to do that, then okay. I'll get on with it. Of course I know the stories about the men with guns but it's best not to think about them -- and then hope we don't see any of them. |
I'm not trying to be difficult, but I feel very uncomfortable making judgments on what someone else's statement when they're defining things however they want to define it. So if you -- if you ask me, Monica, were you alone with the president, I will say yes, but I'm not comfortable characterizing what someone else says. |
