There is no result, and the figures you see reported in the media are wrong.

We intend to reach the highest international standards, so that all the referendum results will be fair and transparent.

It is an accomplishment for all Iraqis. It's a civilized step that puts Iraq on the path to democracy, to rebuilding our new Iraq.

We didn't invent these figures. It took us a long time to get them.

The number of whose who took part in the ballot should be between 10 and 11 million voters, according to our first estimates.

Some political entities will say, 'We have this many votes,' but this is not correct. They cannot guess.

If we have a serious violation at four polling stations, that is not many voters.

The final results won't be ready and ratified until a few days into next January after completing the investigation into all complaints.

We will cancel the results of any polling center, inside or outside of Iraq, if it has been proven that there was fraud in there. To this day, I don't think there is a reason to cancel the entire elections.

The final results will not be announced before the beginning of next year because we have more than 1,000 complaints.

It's true that more than 1,000 complaints have been raised so far, many of them in the capital. But these won't be enough to change the overall results.

Of course the election is legitimate.

The preparation and the process of guaranteeing Iraqis a vote since January has been difficult, due to security issues. But despite these huge challenges, we achieved our objective and managed to hold the follow up election in December.

Whatever the results of the referendum are ... it is a civilized step that aims to put Iraq on the path of true democracy.
