We know we can do this kind of job. We know we're capable of performing this well. We feel we're in it; we feel we have room to score even higher because we have a great parallel bar team and we made a lot of mistakes it. So overall, we're really pleased.

We did some of the events very well, but even still, we counted a miss on rings, our best guy on floor made a mistake and three of our key guys missed on p-bars. We made some mistakes, but overall, it's much better. Our maturity is starting to show. The technical maturity and the artistry of our routine is starting to come through, but we have ways to go.

We're hoping to perform at least as good-maybe even a little bit better. The judging is subjective, so we don't look at the scores because we can't control it. We look at our own performance because that's something we can control.

We did pommel horse much better, but vault was rough. We had some guys try some double-folds for the first time. But overall, it was pretty good.

I don't know if we're consistent enough to have a really big meet. That's what this team needs to prove-consistency. But so far that hasn't been happening. To do well out here, you have to hit everything, and hopefully, that'll happen on Friday.

Our gymnastics are good enough to qualify if we hit our routines. If we miss our routines, we could easily eliminate ourselves.

In the beginning of the season, we were probably hitting only 30 to 40 percent of our routines. So we got to the point where we could hit 75 to 80 percent, but when you get to the NCAA championships, to do really well, you have to be able to hit everything.

I think everybody did their best. It's not like we didn't win because we didn't try hard enough. Everybody tried their absolute best, from the coaching staff to the gymnasts.

We are thrilled that such a great percentage of our team has such a fine academic background. It's great that our student-athletes are so serious about their academic performances.

We're going to try to hang with them-pull up an upset. We'll do our best.

We don't have all the pieces in place right now, but I feel that we'll be very strong by the end of the year. It will be a mistake to give up on us because we've had a slow start. I believe, when it's championship time, we're going to be there.

We keep improving-we've been improving all year. We're getting certain key people healthy that have been out for the last couple meets. That combined with the improvement of the rest of our team-we're hoping to do a good job.

They're important pieces of our puzzle.

I am proud of the guys. Now, we will just wait until Saturday to see how it all shakes out. This bodes well for us. The guys can come back feeling like they can compete with the Oklahoma's and Ohio's of the country. We will make a real nice trip back East in a few weeks.

We are a work in progress. I am just excited to go back to the gym and work harder. We will be really good in a month.
