Kelly really pushed the limits of women's riding by going huge and super technical.

This was snowboarding at its highest level. It was unbelievable.

Lindsey is remarkable in this day and age. To compete in any two disciplines, particularly two so different in that one is a freestyle event and one is a racing event, it really is remarkable that she's able to ride at a world-class level in both.

Shaun's been a notch above the field for sure. He's been a notch above all the rest of the riders in the world.

Mason's future is wide open. He reacted very well to the pressure and was so close to getting on the podium.

As much as we tried to downplay it, there was no denying the pressure. We talked about it.

They did salad different over there. I just needed a good homemade salad. I love salad.

This was planned all along. I've been married 20 years and have two sons ages 14 and 9. So when this opportunity came my way we had a big family meeting. I said that I'd give it four years, no matter what the outcome, and then come back home.

It's easy for me to establish an immediate rapport with riders ? I can hop in the pipe and ride, I've been there before. I do it for the same reason they do: the love of the sport. My goals are the same as theirs. I want for them what they want for themselves and that's the best that they can do.

I'll maintain my connection to U.S. Snowboarding and a lot of those riders, but I'm happy to be home. Now I can make a better connection with my family.

We're in the center ring now.

Even though we pulled off an incredible sweep [in 2002], that wasn't predicted. Now that prospect hangs in people's minds, but we do have the talent to back it up. We've got 10 riders right here [in Mountain Creek] who could podium be on the podium at the Olympics.

I wouldn't say that they're gym rats. But there's an awareness that these things are important.

The rescheduling threw us all off. Everyone was a bit groggy this morning, but the riding was unbelievable. Gretchen rode as well as I've seen all year, throwing with grace and precision. This Grand Prix season has really pushed every U.S. rider. It's absolutely been the best riding I've seen in any contest.

I'm not surprised both of these guys were up on the podium, and Mason was in fourth. We had hoped to sweep the podium, I won't lie. We ended up with first, second and fourth, and that's still pretty darn good. I'm really psyched.
