I was never told that I couldn't wear that shirt into the Congress. I was never asked to take it off or zip my jacket back up. If I had been asked to do any of those things...I would have, and written about the suppression of my freedom of speech later.

If I wanted to disrupt it, I would have waited until (President Bush) started talking. My shirt was a statement. I wasn't going to disrupt anything.

Everyone in America should be appalled that that many were killed. What's more obscene, me wearing the number, or that there is a number at all? My son is one of those numbers.

What I hope to do with it would be to energize other anti-war candidates. If I entered it, it would bring attention to the fact that there are many, many races where pro-peace, anti-war candidates are running.

If I thought that running for Senate would bring our young people home more quickly I would do it in a minute, but I am not convinced that that would do so.

I am not running against her, but I will continue to be a thorn in the side of Dianne Feinstein and any other politician who is not working for peace.

My issue is not Republican or Democrat, not right or left. It's right and wrong.

Lawyers in Washington (D.C.) are working on that right now. It should be filed next week.

I think I'm more effective on the outside than on the inside.

I am not running against Senator Feinstein, but I will continue to be a thorn in her side.

[A]bout Bill Clinton, you know, I really think he should have been impeached, but not for [having an affair with an intern and lying about it]. His policies are responsible for killing more Iraqis than George Bush. I don't understand why to rise to the level of being president of my country one has to be a monster. I used to say that George Bush was defiling the Oval Office, but it's been held by a long line of monsters.

I don't want to live in a country that prohibits any person, whether he/she has paid the ultimate price for that country, from wearing, saying, writing, or telephoning any negative statements about the government.

It's outrageous. First we kill these poor women's families, then we tell them they don't have sufficient family ties. First we invade their country, then we refuse to allow them to visit ours.

I can't say that I will regret the experience. I met some very interesting women.

It's awesome to me because there are more and more kids getting involved.
