I'm not going to be able to throw my long touchdown pass.

I think a lot of kids coming out of school have the mentality that they have to be over 320 or something. When you finally get here, you see guys who play center well at 280. You see you don't have to be 330 pounds.

It's not that big a deal, ... When I get out to practice, the doc is pretty much going to be able to put a cast on there any way I want, so it's not going to affect me that much. I've still got use of the other four [fingers].

I just missed being out there, let alone having a star back like that who can do special things. You want to be a part of a situation like that.

It sure feels great to have a win, ... and it was a hard one. They're a good defensive front, so we're happy with a win in this one.

The biggest thing for Mark right now is he has a lot of confidence. He's got confidence in the receivers, in the offense and in himself, and I think it has made a world of difference this year.

We really treated it like a regular season game.

We've wanted to do this. We haven't had any identity other than inconsistent, but it does fit our personality. We [the linemen] come from pound-it programs and most of the staff has that personality, too.

Mark was smart to bat the ball out of the end zone and give us a chance to still be in there at the end.

We have to go out and prove we can do it against teams that we should have success against. We need to prove that we're a good team, and we haven't done that yet.

We said we had to win five in a row. We've got four done. We're not there by any means there yet, but it feels a lot better than it did at 5-6.

It's a violent game, a violent place to play.
