That was a pretty good lap for us, it was about what we ran here last year.

Come up and talk to the driver about it. Help me out. I'm a young guy and I'm trying to learn. If you want to teach me something, come up and discuss it with me and tell me what I need to do differently.

There have been some instances where I've put my car in situations where maybe I should have thought a little bit differently about. But that's any driver. It's all about trying to gain respect. That's something that's important to me. I hope I've done a great enough job on that. I'm only in the start of my second year, so there's still a little bit more to do.

It's going to be about who has the best car at the end of a run, not just who is fast.

We were out at the sand dunes and had a good time and talked a little bit. It's just all about how to be patient.

Being able to run that well in our home town gives me a lot of pride.

I had the best seat in the house. The car was one of the best I've had at Vegas, but it was a little too loose.

I can't see what I'm doing from inside the race car while I'm outside it, so I guess I'll have to have a sit-down (with Stewart) and figure out what went wrong. I want to clear the air because I don't want to get dumped at Atlanta. Atlanta will hurt.

With about 40 laps to go, it's time to race and time to get after it and that's what I was doing. If I did something and aggravated Stewart, well, I'm sorry.

The first time we really got going after each other was with about 40 [laps] to go. That's the perfect amount of laps to go where it's time to dig in deep and get after it and get on top of the wheel and start going. There is no more rolling over and playing dead and letting guys go and stuff like that -- It's time to race and it's time to get after it and that's what I was doing.

Maybe he wasn't trying to wreck me, but he was definitely trying to loosen me up to get a spot.

We talked a little bit. It was a good conversation. A civil one. We just talked about what I aggravated him with last week and we both decided to move along and see how we can race the rest of the year.

He did and he didn't. He had a sense of 'Yeah, OK, that makes sense but still, I don't care.' He's in his race car trying to run his race and I'm trying to run my race. Sometimes conflicts happen.
