Inventory levels have been held back because of the pervasive pessimism in technology. There was resistance to build inventory because of fear of charges.

With a good performance and at least some encouraging tones from Chambers, we could get a change of mood on the Street. It's desperately needed. It's time we focus on fundamentals.

The evidence is in that tech is finally turning around, ... That's most clearly demonstrated with telecom. Even Lucent, despite its weaker performance among its peers, is suggesting they've got some visibility.

The Iraq situation just seems to hang over business investment decisions, which is critical right now, ... Unfortunately, we're dependent upon enterprise spending. We're seeing signs that telecom is starting to catch on. But if you look at a company like Cisco, where two-thirds of their business is tied to enterprise spending, we're still in this quagmire.

These guys are characters, and that's one of the things that got ESPN very excited, ... They don't look so perfect. They've got strange regional accents and odd facial hair. They've lived a lot of life and they look like it. And they are also superb at what they do.

I think expectations might be preceding reality, ... In the long run we've got some real opportunity here, but we've come a long way too quickly. We may need to ratchet it back a little and set a new foundation to grow for the rest of the year, but continuing at this pace is going to be difficult.

TI is performing well but it is being unfairly tainted,

There's a strong handset replacement cycle going on right now that will generate the next phase of growth, ... First it was color and camera phones and now it will be higher resolution and video enabled phones that will be prevalent this holiday season.
