I told the team the other day that our playoffs start Monday night 'cause we need to get these games this week. Let's see if we can sustain playing well for 40 minutes.

I think Odessa has done a good job of handling the pressure of being undefeated and being the favorite and continue to win. We've got a lot to play for. This is a game we need because if we're going to get into the playoffs and do something, then this is the game we've got to come out on top.

We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

I think they're a really good offensive team. We have to make things difficult for them offensively and we also have to make sure we handle the front end of their press.

I just think as much as anything we're not as confident as you want to be because we've lost so many close games. At the same time, I think they're mature enough to know that we've caused most of that.

We didn't have that five-minute lapse of making mistakes to give the other team the opportunity to win. With the exception of the second half of the South Plains game (a 71-62 loss on March 2), I thought we've been playing hard. We just had those possessions on offense and defense where we hurt ourselves and we didn't do that (on Monday).

We played with intensity and we played with purpose for the full 40 minutes and didn't lose our composure when they hit a couple of shots and tried to make a comeback.

I still believe that there is not a great deal of difference between the teams and I just think it's a matter of who's going to play well the whole weekend. I believe in what we could accomplish if we go and play like we did on Monday for 40 minutes, we've got as good a chance at beating McLennan as they do against us.
