I just got loose in the turn. The track was pretty slick at the beginning of the race and I got sideways and got into Kurt. I hate it for him.

It's pretty windy out there, so it's not as fast as it was yesterday. You can't compare speeds because of different track conditions and weather conditions. It's good to see we can be the fastest under these conditions this week. It makes us feel like we've got a top ten car.

Everybody is complaining about the right front [tire]. It's hard to really get the car freed up enough. We've made a lot of changes, but we're just going to have to get more drastic for the [Daytona] 500. ... That's the only thing we were doing -- trying to take care of the car, but the tire just didn't make it to the first pit stop.

As our new sponsor, Checkers/Rally's has been fantastic, ... It's great to be able to take our relationship to a new level with a football tie-in. This is a very relevant program for our fans.

It was good for us, ... We wanted to actually scuff our tires yesterday but didn't get a chance too. So, the first lap we really slid around a lot and it finally started coming in on our second lap. That's when we picked up a lot. I am really happy with that.

I think with the way these cars are so aero-dependent, if you can catch the guy in front of you and get up beside him, he's going to have to check up and you're going to end up being side-by-side with him,

Having an owner who has so much responsibility and authority over your team and your career and [to] have a proven winner and racer at heart is a perfect match. You've always got someone you can go to and ask technical questions. No matter what it is, he'll understand it and be able to shed some kind of light on it.

We feel pretty confident. We feel like we can be in the top 10 in qualifying. The good things about it is I think we've got a car that can qualify in the top 10 and draft well at the same time. That's important.

We've got to sort of sit back and hunt and regroup.

I don't see how it could be anywhere but Charlotte. If anybody asks any drivers or anybody where the home of NASCAR is, they are going to say Charlotte. They're not going to say anywhere else. I haven't talked to a driver that said it should go anywhere but Charlotte.

We gave it a great effort. We just didn't have any help out there. That's the kind of risk you take when you come down here with no points. I just hate it.

It just makes me nervous about other people, not knowing what they are going to do, how aggressive they might be and what kind of mistakes might be made.

I am a little nervous just because of the situation we're in. I am not too nervous because I know we have got a good car. The only thing that makes me nervous -- I know we can get there, I know we can go to the front.
