As we end this week, we're campaigning in areas of the country that have been strong Liberal ridings, at least in the recent past, and I notice Mr. Martin is campaigning in Montreal, which was considered not too long ago the strongest set of Liberal ridings in the country. I think at this point that's an encouraging sign.

Anything is possible, isn't it... but people don't invest that amount of money on speculation about a government decision unless they have pretty good reason to believe it is going to occur.

It's all part of the pattern. This is a story of scandal and corruption, investigations, refusals to take responsibility. If this government continues in office, this will continue.

I'm interested in what credible critics say about me. I think Mr. Martin's credibility is reflected in the false and misleading ads that he's running.

Obviously, the first thing we have to have is the capacity to know who is in our waters. We obviously want and expect foreign countries to tell us when they're in our waters. They are currently not doing that.

Canadians need and they want and deserve a change. and to get that change we need a change in government ... a new Conservative government.

Let the Liberals complain about facing the people. We're interested in facing the future as a party and a country.

Over the last few days the Liberals have made it clear that their biggest issue is not wanting to face the voters. Given their position, I don't blame them,

Canadians are counting on you to give them a clean, honest government. We need an accountable government.

On Jan. 23, you will finally be able to hold the Liberals accountable ? accountable for stealing your money, accountable for breaking your trust and accountable for failing to deliver on your priorities,

We need that change to replace the culture of entitlement with a culture of accountability,

We were committed at the time of the convention, and through the last debate, to put a free vote to the next Parliament on this issue, ... It will be a genuinely free vote when I am prime minister. I will not whip the cabinet; cabinet can vote as they want.

We have in office a corrupt party which now is ignoring the democratically expressed will of the House of Commons. This government does not have the moral authority and the constitutional authority to govern.

How can we continue to prop up a government that is under criminal investigation?
