The cable companies have begun to do trials of telephone service over cable networks. I think this acquisition will speed things up. The combination of AT&T's financial muscle and the advent of Internet based telephony will be the two things that will push that along, and I would think you would be seeing Internet telephony over cable systems in the next three years.

Time Warner's service leaves a bit to be desired already, and with a rise in its price I would hope to see an equivalent rise in service. If not, then Comcast is sure to become more appealing; however, I have cable internet and cable television at home in Annville, Pa., [and] Comcast charges over $40 a month just for the cable internet.

Instead of staying at a Holiday Inn, they'll choose to stay at a Super 8. Or instead of eating at a sit down restaurant, they'll choose McDonalds-they shift their budget, they still have that amount of money, but they spend it wisely.

Once the power companies had done their job, they gave us the OK to go in, and we were able to go in an do our job. We are hoping to restore all cable within the next week, and this includes Internet service as well. If you have cable (television), you should have Internet service as well.
