My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. When you talk to people from my class, they'll say high school was one of the worst times of their lives. What's stayed with me, with many of us, is anger, that I didn't enjoy high school.

Traditional high school basketball fans don't think it's necessary. There's the cost of the equipment, operational needs to find someone trained and skilled to work it. There's the flip side where people thing it adds excitement to the game. Seven states have overcome those obstacles.
