en I just hate to lose. I know the girls do too. Losing is not in our vocabulary. It's tough to take. Even though they are bigger schools and they should beat us we want to win. We can beat the best. As coaches we have to work harder. We played great for awhile but then we don't for awhile. Mistakes and mental lapses will kill you. Especially in a game like this. You can dominate the game and a couple of mistakes can lose you the game.

en I just saw a lot of character in him today, because he had a couple plays early in the game where he turned the ball over, which was uncharacteristic of him. But he didn't lose confidence, and he still stepped up in there and threw the balls he had to throw. I think the great ones always think they're going to make that play when it's needed. I certainly think he does.

en It was a great thrill to play with a couple of icons, guys I've watched for years. They were great guys, terrific players. Ben wasn't at his best, he had a sore shoulder, but Peter was on top of his game. He was very impressive, he just didn't make any putts for two days. en It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

en That first set was definitely not his best tennis and I didn't expect that to continue but sometimes it's tough to pick your game up when someone has such a bad set and then they pick their game up, ... I really didn't want it to go to three sets because I knew how well he was starting to play and he can really get rolling. It was a great match and a great tiebreaker at the end.

en The scheme was to make big plays. The guys stepped up, the offensive line did a great job and I was fortunate to be able to connect on a couple deep passes.

en We knew what they were going to do, we didn't get the job done. I don't know why we didn't make the tackles we should have made. It cost us a couple of touchdowns, and that was the game. That was our game plan coming in, stop the run. We didn't do that. It's humbling.

en He threw a couple of passes off guys' hands. But he also threw passes that no one has thrown all year. We expect that from him because he's such a great passer.

en We had a couple of turnovers, a couple of penalties and a couple of missed assignments, and that's when the game got really tight. But at the end of the game, our kids deserved some credit for rising to the occasion. I'm proud that we didn't let go of the rope. I would like to have less mistakes and I would like to execute better, but again, we're walking away with a win.
