We still haven't decided yet who will play where. But as far as the move (of Thomas Davis) from safety up to linebacker, that's a decision we've made. Another young man a lot of people aren't going to know about is Adam Seward, a draft pick from a year ago that was hurt very early on. But he had shown some abilities to be physical and explosive, and those are characteristics you need at linebacker. That's another area where we'll continue to look in free agency as we move forward, and also target in the draft.

Quarles has great versatility, but we also like him as our middle linebacker. Ruud, some time in the future, will get his chance to play. Ryan has earned the job in Jeff's absence.

It depends on the team. If you're talking a 4-3 (front) team, they see me at end. A 3-4 team sees me at outside linebacker or middle linebacker. I played defensive end for four years. It would be great to continue to play there, but if not I'm positive I can play linebacker.

Ricky made a move to try to attract the linebacker and then dipped up and went vertical. They know each other on the basketball floor, but they also are good for each other. Jeff is more cerebral and knows how to keep his emotions in check. Sylvester has had trouble controlling his emotions, but Jeff has helped him do that. Jeff has told me how to approach Sylvester. In the locker room at times, it's Jeff who tells Sylvester to pick it up or change something abut his game.

The guy can certainly play outside linebacker. We know he can play defensive end. I imagine he can move inside and play defensive tackle. There's no question he can play tight end. He probably can play offensive tackle. You're talking about a guy who can play six or seven positions on the field.
