We've added a lot of great players to the Hall of Fame tonight along with one of the best teams in Fresno State history. Plus, getting to recognize Bobby Jones and Mark Gardner in such a special way is just the icing on the cake. en Bobby Jones is a great addition to our program. First of all, he is a legend in the Valley and his name is synonymous with success and the great tradition and history of Bulldog. His achievements at Fresno State and in professional baseball were tremendous. Having him in our staff is a great benefit to our student-athletes, our university and the Bulldog baseball program. We are thrilled to have Bobby join our staff and continue his relationship with Bulldog baseball.

en Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

en Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

en It's been a great day. Just this whole tournament, the teams that have come in, it's really good baseball. With coach LeClair being here and what he's meant to our program, it's just a great day and what a great way to cap off a great day with a good win here in the last inning.

en It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

en I know that baseball fans have me in their own Hall of Fame -- the one in their hearts. That matters more to me than any official recognition. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be, and I am truly honored to be considered. I've given my life to baseball, and the game has given me so much.

en He was one of the best baseball announcers, too. You talk about painting a picture of a game, he was so good at it. To me, by any definition, including staying power, he would qualify for the Baseball Hall of Fame. He'd have my vote. He'd have (broadcaster partner and Hall of Fame second baseman) Joe Morgan's vote, too. But in the Bay Area, Bill was so good in other sports that it overshadowed what he did in baseball.
