The boys did a pretty good job of keeping the ball in play today. Each one of them are capable of being more consistent than the majority of their opponents as long as they work at it. I was pleased with their level of play. In the matches we lost, the opponents were just better today.

When we are battling adversity, as well as our opponent, we need to keep our composure and play our game. We didn't do that today and the final stats told the whole story. Hopefully, we can put this game behind us and come in focused tomorrow against Sacramento State.

We thought we'd put runs on the board early in the game but we didn't. (Vince) could have lost composure, and the team could have lost composure, but they didn't.

If the state hadn't purchased it, the character of the Ridge would have been lost. It is a great asset.

When we lost to Doss, I think everybody said Pleasure Ridge is too young to compete this year at a quality level. But our guys didn't buy into that. These kids are starting to grow up.
