Anytime someone wants to ordspråk

en Anytime someone wants to compare me to Joe Gibbs, it's a compliment. He's one off the guys that if I could pattern my coaching after, he would certainly be one of the guys I've admired for a long, long time. He's one of the best ever.

en Right now, we're undefeated. I'm more excited about a spring than I've been in a long, long time. (But) we've got a long way to go. We're a little bigger, a little stronger, hopefully a little quicker. We've helped ourselves with the seven (new) guys that are in here right now and the younger guys are a little more mature in how they handle themselves.

en I'm not out there to do bad. I'm out there to get us a win and pitch as hard as I can every day. In baseball, there's a big turnaround -- guys come, guys go, guys get hurt. I'm just going to have the best time up here that I can. Hopefully, it'll last a long, long time.

en So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

en He's a great player, man. To play in this league as long as Chris has, he's one of those guys who goes out there and gets it on each week. Just to play this game for that long is a compliment to him.

en It's very exciting for us, as a coaching staff, to have so many guys get invited to the combine. That's never happened before and is a compliment to the work we've done here. That would have been unbelievable five years ago, but we've made a lot of progress and these guys have earned it.

en The fact of the matter is criminals have been operating in seaports a long, long time. The bad guys know how open the system is. The good guys don't seem to have a real command on it here because we haven't paid as much attention to this problem as we need to.

en It was a great weekend for us. Anytime you can go on the road and sweep a team, it is very difficult to do. I am really proud of the way the guys played today. It was a long day, and the guys are tired. We are going to go get a shower and enjoy our day off tomorrow.

en Well there is always guys that don't get along. Whether that becomes public or not, that is another story. We don't have fights but guys don't get along sometimes. You're in this small building, a bus, you're on a plane, you are in some confined area with the same guys everyday for a long time with a lot of egos.

en We've got some young guys contributing here for the first time in a long time. Guys like Mike Clayton, Carnell Williams, Alex Smith, a lot of these guys are not only playing, they're starting. So this team needed an injection of young players.

en It's tough to leave public service. I've been doing it for so long. I've admired Bank of America for a long time. It's the only chief security position I would take.

en We've been fortunate with 60 guys out for wrestling to get 13-14 quality guys all on the mat (at different weight classes). This is the first time in my 16 years coaching that I've had 14 guys with winning records.

en They're a very veteran team. They understand they've been in the last two games. A bounce here or there and the games could have been different. Knowing that they have got guys that have been around a long time, had guys that have won Cups and guys with a lot of leadership, that's why we expect their best game.

en I don't know if it's new because I can't compare it to maybe what's been the norm before. With regards to hustling to and from the drills, I just think that's how you've got to practice. They'll get used to (our tempo), and I think the players want that by and large. I think it will pay off in the long run. But we've got a lot of work to do, and a lot of guys are sucking some air right now.

en There are a lot of guys kind of on the bubble that can either be that sort who turn into journeyman kind of guys that will find a new spot or guys that can make a claim to be in one place for a long time. You can name a lot of names this year, an unusual number. And I think that most of them will be OK.
